The Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory--this slugger is HUGE!
We stopped & walked around a park in front of the Jefferson County Court House. This is a statue of Thomas Jefferson (for whom the county was named). Jefferson County was one of the first three counties formed out of the original Kentucky County which was still apart of Virgina at the time.
And of course, we couldn't leave Louisville without driving around U of L and not far from the university--Churchill Downs! This is probably what Louisville is most famous for--the Kentucky Derby. I found out this weekend that the "Derby Pie" actually comes from the Kentucky Derby (why didn't I know that...?)
We had fun imagining how busy & lively it would be if we drove by during a race!
